Portal Leaves USC In Shambles For Texas A&M To Pounce On

Texas A&M is in line to cover 4 points and then some against USC in the Las Vegas Bowl and this comes solely due to opt outs for the Trojans. USC will be without their top three starting receivers in Duce Robinson, Kyron Hudson, and Zachariah Branch along with their starting quarterback, Miller Moss. That is far from it though as there are 10 other key players opting out for the Trojans.

On the other hand, Texas A&M has seen limited opt outs and will still have their starting QB, Marcel Reed, both of their running backs in Le’Veon Moss and Amari Daniels, and their top three receivers in Noah Thomas, Jabre Barber, and Jahdae Walker.

USC had a mediocre 6-6 season which had to do mostly with their lack of defense which ranked in the bottom half of the Big 10 in pass yards allowed (231.2), rush yards allowed (140.5), and points allowed (23.5). Their only bright spot came on offense as they led the conference in pass yards per game, but without Miller Moss under center and a middle of the pack run game, they’ll be left searching for answers.

With the USC run defense already a question and Texas A&M averaging nearly 200 yards per game, expect the Aggies to literally run away with this one on the ground and have no issues getting out in front to cover the spread on college football betting sites.
