- The second half odds for the AFC Championship favor the Kansas City Chiefs on the moneyline at -115.
- The Buffalo Bills struck first in the first quarter of the game with a field goal.
- The Second Half Over/Under is set at 28 points.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Those betting on the AFC Championship have had several nail-biting plays occur already. Going into the second half, there is still a lot to look forward to from a bettor’s perspective.
Before the game started, the Kansas City Chiefs were favored to win at -165 odds on many NFL betting sites and were given -3 points on the spread. Going into the second half the spread is set at 0 points, making it a pick’em. But, the live game odds at half time have the Chiefs set at -600.
Crucial mistakes were made when the Kansas City Chiefs muffed a punt and gave the Buffalo Bills a 9-0 lead shortly afterward. However, the Chiefs bounced back and scored 21 unanswered points. The Bills did score a field goal to close out the half, so the momentum is on their side.
While mistakes like that can’t be predicted for the second half, there is still a lot that bettors can use from the first half if they are live betting.
Second half Spread For AFC Championship
Before the game began, the Chiefs were performing terribly against the spread while the Bills were performing very well.
The Chiefs came into the match 1-7 against the spread in their last eight games when playing as the favorite. The Bills, however, came in with a 9-1 record against the spread in their last 10 games overall.
However, given the how the Chiefs have responded to the Bills early leady, the trends may not matter for those betting on the second half spread of the AFC Championship. The second half spread is set at zero points and the Chiefs should be able to easily cover if they’re able to keep the same pace on the offensive end.
Second Half Over/Under
Both teams have been able to find their way into the endzone in the first half, and the second half Over/Under reflects that because it is set at 28 points. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen have both looked fairly sharp so far. However, Patrick Mahomes has seemed to show that injuries going into the game haven’t had an effect on him.

While the Chiefs have the lead, they’ve shown no signs of playing conservatively. The Bills also haven’t been shy of taking shots downfield in order to catch up.
Coming into the game, the Over was 4-0 in the Bills’ last four matchups when playing as the underdog. The Over was also 4-1 in the Chiefs’ last five games in the month of January. Those who bet the Over for the game may very well want to double down on it and bet on the second half Over.
