Morikawa has been excellent at Augusta National Golf Club in the past, has been the best player on the PGA Tour in strokes gained from tee to green per round this season, and is backed by many other trends.

If Collin Morikawa wins, his +1600 odds at legal PGA Tour betting sites would result in larger payouts than five of the past six Masters winners. Hideki Matsuyama had +6000 odds prior to winning the 2021 Masters.

Bet on Collin Morikawa to Win the 2025 Masters

Collin Morikawa is a two-time major championship winner who plays his best golf in the biggest events. Last season, Morikawa’s worst finish in a major was T16 at the Open Championship. He finished inside the top five at the PGA Championship and Masters.

Those strong finishes at the majors last season helped him qualify for many of the recent trends posted by GolfRamble on X.

Morikawa was one of five golfers to fulfill all of those trends on recent Masters winners. The others were Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Shane Lowry and Russell Henley.

Collin Morikawa is the best bet out of that group at Masters betting sites because of how dominant he has been from tee to green this season and because on average, he has been better than everyone in that group at Augusta National over the past five years.

• The stats below average the golfers’ last five finishing positions at the Masters. Missed cuts were substituted with 51 because only 50 golfers make the cut. Of the five on the list, only Rory McIlroy has missed a cut at Augusta, and he did so twice (2021 and 2023).

Morikawa’s closest competitors on that table are Hideki Matsuyama and Russell Henley. It’s very easy to make a case to bet on Collin instead of either of them:

• Morikawa and Henley have close average recent finishes, but they are barely on the course when it comes to strokes gained per round from tee to green. Collin’s PGA Tour-best 1.999 strokes gained T2G is more than double Henley’s 0.975. Like Matsuyama, Henley’s Masters finishing position average is also boosted by two top 15 finishes that were not in his last three appearances at Augusta. Those appearances were in 2017 and 2018, as the Georgia-native did not qualify for the Masters in 2019, 2020 or 2021.

Overall, Collin Morikawa is the best bet at legal sports betting sites for the Masters because he is one of just five golfers to fit trends of other recent winners and because he has significantly better recent history at the event and better strokes gained tee-to-green stats than the other four that qualify.
