- Dustin Johnson now has +275 odds to win The Masters.
- Early favorite Bryson DeChambeau has seen his odds to win the Masters grow to +1400.
- Xander Schauffele has +1100 odds to win.
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Before the first day of the Masters Major Championship, Bryson DeChambeau was heavily favored to win. Heading into day two, however, Dustin Johnson now has sports bettors clambering.
Johnson finished round one with a -7 score, shifting his odds at online sportsbooks. Heading into day two, bettors seem to be predicting the young golfer will continue his strong performance.
DeChambeau’s -2 score is not bad and gives him plenty of time to close the gap with a better performance. Sports bettors may be tempted to take action on his long odds leading into day two of the Masters.
Odds Shifting
PGA Tour bettors have leaned heavily towards betting on Dustin Johnson despite him not being the only golfer to score -7. Prior to day one, Johnson had the second shortest odds to win.

Johnson won the 2016 US Open, placed T2 in the 2019 Masters Tournament, and the 2011 Open Championship, as well as placed second in both the 2019 and 2020 PGA Tournament. His early short odds to win the Masters is not surprising.
The reason bettors were originally leaning on DeChambeau is that he won the 2020 US Open, coming from behind to beat Matthew Wolff.
Sports bettors who didn’t wager on Bryson early may be tempted to lean in on his long odds now. The Masters Day Two may see DeChambeau battle his way into T1, and his odds may shorten.
Injuries Affecting Betting Lines
There was some bad news during the event, however, as Erik Van Rooyen was injured and has withdrawn from the tournament, his odds have been removed from legal sports betting sites.

Prior to his injury, Rooyen had +10000 odds to win, making him a prime choice for longshot bettors. Despite this loss, there are still plenty of golfers competing that could lead to major wins if they manage to pull the upset.
The 2020 Masters is going to be an event filled with betting action for golf bettors. Day two will surely affect the odds so now may be the best time to wager.
