NEW YORK – The MLB has finalized an agreement making theScore an authorized gaming operator for the league.
This multi-year deal gives theScore’s mobile sports betting app, theScore Bet, instant access to league marks, logos, and official MLB Data.
The gaming company’s media app has become very popular across North America by giving legal sports betting players news, live scores, stats, and betting information on leagues, teams, and players.
“We’re thrilled to work with MLB, helping bring our fans an even deeper experience as we begin our multi-state expansion of theScore Bet,” said John Levy, Founder, and CEO of theScore. “We know our fans are eager to watch and bet on America’s pastime, and we’ll be ready to bring them a best-in-class integrated media and betting offering when play resumes and for seasons to come.”
The MLB has partnered with four other gaming companies such as FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and Fox Bet.
In this partnership, both the MLB and theScore will work to protect the integrity of the games by creating the best practices for the betting app.
“Working with theScore is another important step in offering baseball fans a variety of unique gaming options to continually engage with our sport,” said Kenny Gersh, MLB Executive Vice President, Gaming & New Business Ventures. “theScore is an innovative company that shares our vision for developing fandom with new, creative gaming opportunities on a variety of platforms.”
The sports betting app will be given real-time stats by the MLB official data feed, Statcast, and New Jersey residents have the app available to them right now.
Indiana and Colorado are set to launch the app in their states very soon and hopefully in time for the high-anticipated and re-designed 2020 MLB season starting at the end of July.
