NASCAR Betting Weekend: Nashville, June 18-20, 2021

NASHVILLE – Nashville, Tennessee will host its first ever NASCAR Cup Series race this Sunday as the best drivers in the sport head to Music City for the Ally 400.

The 1.333-mile track at the Nashville Superspeedway hasn’t hosted any NASCAR event since 2011 when it hosted the Xfinity and Truck Series, but now welcomes the Cup Series for this 400-mile adventure.

Betting odds for the race are now available, with Kyle Larson still listed as the heavy favorite to continue his hot streak on the legal online sportsbooks.

With the track out of NASCAR rotation for a decade, some older drivers who might have participated in the Xfinity or Truck Series back in the day could have the advantage of track experience over some of the younger drivers.

Those looking to bet on NASCAR should consider drivers that have driven the track before in their career. This includes Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Busch.

Still, they will have quite the challenge in front of them to knock Kyle Larson off his winning streak. Including last week’s All-Star Race, Larson has won three races in a row to showcase an absolute dominant form.

Ever since joining the Hendrick team at the beginning of this season, Larson has been the fastest car on the track and appears to have no plans of stopping. However, on a course like this in a tri-oval shape, the race could play out like a standard Superspeedway race.

While the cars won’t have the same packages as say a Dayton or Talladega, the Superspeedway format could benefit drivers like Denny Hamlin who thrive in such environments.

The full race can be seen this Sunday at 3:30 p.m. EST on NBC Sports instead of NASCAR’s usual home on FS1.

Busch will be dropping down to double dip in a classic example of “Buschwhacking” in Nashville this weekend. While the rest of the field has been racing well, Kyle is notorious for dominating the Xfinity circuit when he chooses to.

While the Cup series was on All-Star weekend last week, the Truck Series was in full swing with John H Nemecheck earning another win.
