Boston Celtics Vs. New York Knicks: First Quarter Total

The Boston Celtics and New York Knicks are in a great spot to have the UNDER hit in many different spots, one of which is the first-quarter total. The defense these teams played last season may not be sustainable but the current line does allow for some regression.

New York allowed the fewest-quarter points in the NBA last season with an average of 25.7 per game. New York also scored the fourth-fewest points in the opening quarter at 26.9.

Boston wasn’t much worse as they allowed 28.1 points per first quarter and scored just 27.5 points on average. Overall, the Knicks averaged 52.6 points per first quarter while the Celtics averaged 55.6 points. Given the matchup, the UNDER seems to be a fair play for sports bettors to take.
