NEW YORK – The NFL has officially announced four new exclusive sports betting partners in BetMGM, FOX Bet, PointsBet, and WynnBET.
These sportsbooks join Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings, and FanDuel as NFL sportsbooks that can use exclusive NFL data for sports betting.
The NFL made this announcement just ahead of the season in order to get a jump start on the NFL betting industry. The league has continued to embrace sports betting while this proves to be another example of that.
Sportsbooks And The NFL
In addition to the exclusive rights of NFL marks, official statistics from the league will be accessible with these sportsbooks. Each of the seven official operators also has exclusive rights to premium advertising during games. No other sportsbook will be able to purchase ad spots during NFL games.
“We are pleased to announce this select group as Approved Sportsbook Operators,” said Nana-Yaw Asamoah, Vice President of Business Development for the NFL. “Along with our three Official Sports Betting Partners, this group of operators will help the League to engage fans in responsible and innovative ways this season as the sports betting landscape continues to evolve.”
These sportsbooks will also be integrated into the NFL O&O properties for both their retail and mobile sports betting operations.
NFL Embracing Sports Betting
In the past, the league has been hesitant when it’s come to sports betting but that seems to be changing with this upcoming season.
This is the first NFL season that will see sportsbook ads during games, as well as the first full NFL season to see official regulated sports betting partnerships with the league.
The NFL also now has an exclusive partnership with Genius Sports, allowing Genius to supply NFL stats to sportsbooks for accurate league data.
Additionally, the NFL will see their games advertised within the seven sportsbooks and their sports betting platforms throughout the season to increase fan engagement.
This is definitely a new era for the NFL and sports gaming nationwide.
