PITTSBURGH – The NFL’s annual Hall of Fame Game, originally scheduled for August 6, has become the league’s first casualty of the coronavirus.
With the event officially canceled, The Hall of Fame enshrines ceremony has also been postponed from its August 8 date.
The NFL has managed to avoid canceling any events due to the pandemic up until now, making this possibly bad signs for the upcoming season.
No Hall Of Fame Game
NFL sports bettors still have plenty of action to wager on with the upcoming season’s future odds still readily available.
Unfortunately, anyone who was looking forward to betting on the Hall of Fame Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburg Steelers is out of luck.
The Cowboys and Steelers are now set to be in the 2021 Hall of Fame Game.
The enshrinement ceremony is expected to take place in 2021 as well, with everything seemingly being pushed back one year due to this setback.
The main reason for these events being canceled and postponed has to do with the spike in coronavirus cases in Ohio, where the game was initially planned to take place.
Dallas and Pittsburgh were set to be the first teams returning for training camp, now both teams are expected to return to training camp alongside the rest of the league when the preseason begins.
The NFL season, as of now, is set to continue as scheduled, with games planned to be played with no fans in attendance.
The NFL owners do have a conference call planned for Thursday, where the discussion on the league moving forward will be addressed.
Whether the season is postponed or able to continue as scheduled, legal betting sites will have odds available all season long.
