Starting with offensive rookie, NFL sportsbooks are unsurprisingly looking for the Cincinnati Bengals new starter QB Joe Burrow to make a statement this season. He leads all offensive rookies with the shortest odds at many legal sports betting sites.

Burrow has +250 odds to take home the honor, with the next shortest odds belonging to Kansas City Chiefs new running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire at +500.

Obviously when you get to get a player like CeeDee Lamb, and in our opinion, and there’s varying opinions in the league, but in our opinion who was the best receiver in the draft, then you couple with him with two 1,000-yard receivers, then you certainly feel good about that opportunity or that chance to happen.”

The defensive rookie of the year odds are also unsurprising. The Washington Redskins Chase Young has the shortest odds amongst all defensive rookies at +500.

The field is a bit more open for these odds. While Chase Young has the talent to be able to capture this award, the Redskins franchise has a proven track record of not being able to maximize the talent of their roster.

A player such as Patrick Queen could thrive in a place like Baltimore where defense has proved to be the priority in years past, and the team’s high-powered offense now will lighten the load on his side of the ball. His odds of +1400 cannot be overlooked, but that could be said about many players for this bet.

The upcoming NFL season will be the time sports bettors can see how well these prospected superstars are able to impact the game early. These players were selected in the NFL Draft based on how well they showed their skills on the collegiate level, but not as many will shine once they’re in the pros.
