PHILADELPHIA – Pennsylvania set another sports betting handle record in November with $934.1 million worth of total bets. This marks the second consecutive month with a record-breaking handle in the Keystone State.
Pennsylvania’s legal sports betting numbers for November far surpassed the former record $829 million handle set in October. Despite recording more than $100 million more in total bets, November’s revenue saw a 33.3% decrease from October.
The Pennsylvania Gambling Control Board reported $49.1 million in revenue from November bets. This number is down from $73.6 million in October and a 30% year-on-year decrease from November 2022.
The Philadelphia Eagles were 2-0-2 against the spread, winning all three of their November games outright. Pennsylvania legal online sportsbooks will likely profit more in December with the Eagles losing all three games so far this month.
FanDuel, DraftKings Receive Nearly 70% Of November Handle
FanDuel was the state’s top mobile operator for November, receiving $384.08 million in total bets. Despite their low 5% hold, FanDuel earned $19.1 million in legal Pennsylvania sports betting revenue for the month.
DraftKings had the second-highest handle and revenue in November, earning $13.94 million from $253.07 million worth of bets. DraftKings and FanDuel consumed 68.2% of all Pennsylvania sports wagers in November.
ESPN Bet had the third-highest handle with $66.8 million wagered at Penn Entertainment’s new sportsbook partnership with ESPN. The former Barstool Sportsbook left and was replaced by ESPN BET in mid-November, but the new sportsbook managed to earn $6.98 million in revenue.
