DENVER – Colorado residents will be able to partake in online and mobile sports betting through the PointsBet app this coming May. The Colorado Limited Gaming Commission (CLGCC) has granted the sportsbook operator with two sports betting licenses.
The Sports Betting Operator License brings land-based sports betting to the Double Eagle Hotel and Casino while the Internet Sports Betting Operator License allows Colorado residents to download and place bets on the official PointsBet app.
Both licenses are valid through March 2022 giving Colorado sports bettors plenty of time to partake in PointsBet sports betting.

PointsBet will see a large boom in May when it officially brings sports betting to Colorado. Both online and land-based sports betting will see CO residents with seemingly endless betting options once major American sports return to play.
Colorado legalized sports betting back in May 2019 when Governor Jared Polis signed regulated sports betting into law. Nearly a year later, the CLGCC has finally begun issuing out betting licenses to operators.
Through the PointsBet app, CO residents will be able to place bets online anywhere in the state as the app will be available for mobile sports betting through smartphones and tablets. On-the-go sports betting as well as land-based betting will see a large boost in revenue for the state which will be used to fund the Colorado Water Plan.
Coloradoans will have to wait until May for the official PointsBet platform launch, but that does not mean they will be able to partake in traditional sports betting right away. Sportsbooks are currently scrambling to find events for bettors to put action on including political odds and esports odds.
When the dust settles and sports like the NBA and NHL are able to return, PointsBet will likely see a huge return on their investment.
