Prescott, Mahomes Passing Yards Over In Play If Targeting The Right

• Patrick Mahomes’ passing yard total is set at 311.5 with -115 odds on both sides.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – This meeting between the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys will be the first head-to-head meeting between Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott.

With their first meeting, legal online betting sites have passing yard totals for both Mahomes and Prescott which are expecting big games from both of them.

Patrick Mahomes Passing Yards

Mahomes has gone Over 311.5 yards three times this season with his most recent time coming last week against the Las Vegas Raiders where he went for 406 yards.

The Cowboys have allowed three quarterbacks to hit the Over including Tom Brady in Week 1 (379), Justin Herbert in Week 2 (338), and Jalen Hurts in Week 3 (326).

These three each targeted the right side of the field.

Brady had 15 of 32 completions to the right side including his longest pass of the game which was a 47-yard TD. Herbert went a similar 15 of 31 completions to the right which included three completions of 20+ yards. Hurts tormented the right side with 14 of 25 completions that included two touchdown passes.

As for Mahomes, he has a 106.3 passer rating when throwing 20+ yards to the right side. That is well above average as the rest of the league has a combined 78.5 passer rating in that portion of the field.

With Mahomes’ advantage, his NFL player prop on the Over could turn a profit.

Dak Prescott Passing Yards

Dak Prescott has been having a great season since returning from a major ankle injury last season. Prescott has totaled 2,341 yards in eight games played with three of them going Over 301.5 passing yards.

The Chiefs defense has allowed Over 301.5 passing yards three times as well to Baker Mayfield, Jalen Hurts, and Josh Allen. They have also struggled to defend the right side of the field as well.

Baker Mayfield went for 13 of 21 completions to the right. Jalen Hurts went 19 of 32 completions on the right while Josh Allen went for 7 of 15 completions to the right including two 35+ yard passes.

Prescott has a 117.6 passer rating when throwing behind the line of scrimmage to the right and a 118.9 rating when throwing 1-10 yards to the right.

The league average for both is 88.1.

Overall, if both quarterbacks target the right side, it looks safe to gamble on the Over for Mahomes and Prescott as well.
