- The Betting on Sports summit has outgrown its UK venue and will be moving to Spain next year.
- Betting on Sports is the premier industry conference with attendees from more than 60 countries.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – SBC, the Sports Betting Community, has been making a name for itself as the preeminent industry association and news outlet for sports betting businesses worldwide.
The company’s main attraction, the Betting on Sports industry trade show, has grown tremendously since its launch in 2016, with delegates from over 60 nations attending the annual conference.
As a result of that growth, SBC announced a significant venue change this week. After this year’s Betting on Sports event concludes in London (September 17-20), future shows will be put on in Barcelona, Spain.
Rasmus Sojmark, founder and CEO of SBC, says that outsize success has forced the brand to expand its footprint into newer developing markets.
London is saturated with the sports betting culture, meaning that SBC’s efforts are better spent bringing the industry’s vision to other regions that could use a leg up.
“As the [Betting on Sports] show continues to expand and evolve, it’s important for us to stay true to the core values that define the event,” said Sojmark.
“We have chosen Barcelona because it has world-class hotels, transport links and attractions to ensure delegates enjoy a great time in the city. … Coupled with the growing betting and gaming market in Spain, Barcelona was an easy choice to make.”
The Betting on Sports conference will take place in Barcelona at the Fira de Barcelona event center. Opening day is scheduled for Sunday, September 8, with the four-day summit concluding on Wednesday, September 11.
The global SBC event, considered the company’s flagship, should not be confused with the SBC Betting on Sports America trade show. That summit, developed especially for the American marketplace, will be held next year in late April at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in New Jersey.
In addition to its popular industry shows, SBC also creates and distributes sports betting media, seminars, and webinars geared towards industry operators and analysts. The company also manages a sports betting hall of fame, into which US sports betting trailblazers Dennis Drazin and Chris Christie were recent inductees.
