Seneca Resorts Is Now An Official Sponsor Of The Buffalo Bills

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – Pegula Sports & Entertainment has appointed Seneca Resorts and Casinos as partners with the Buffalo Bills.“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Buffalo Bills and expand our relationship with Pegula Sports & Entertainment,” said Melissa Free, Sr. VP of Seneca Gaming.Right now, western New York does not have any sports betting action going on. The Seneca Casino and Resort is located in Niagara Falls, right next to the Canadian Border. But the Seneca Tribe do seem like they are going to push towards opening a sportsbook.

“We are making some exciting progress on our sports wagering operations in Niagara Falls, Buffalo, and Salamanca. We will share details about what our patrons can expect as soon as they are finalized,” said Phil Pantano, spokesperson to Seneca Gaming Corp.

But there could be some delays on that front. The Seneca Nation and the State of New York are having a compact dispute. The compact dispute claims that the Tribe owes the state over $225 million in revenue. The Tribe has refused to pay, and it is difficult to say if or when Seneca Sports betting will happen. 

Still A Rewarding Partnership

Despite all of this, the Seneca Tribe is looking towards the future. The Tribe is now officially sponsoring the Buffalo Bills. This means that Buffalo Bills fans who visit a select Seneca Casino will get some exclusive promotions. To celebrate the partnership, Seneca is raffling off a 2019 Thor Motor Coach Four Winds 25v. They are calling this promotion the Ultimate Billieve RV Giveaway. The winner will also receive a pair of 2020 Buffalo Bills season tickets.

Anyone can enter this contest, but Bills fans will have an advantage. If someone enters the contest and shows their home game ticket, they will receive 10 bonus entries. This will give them more chances to win the RV and 2020 season tickets. The drawing for the grand prize will happen on January 4, 2020.

With this partnership, NFL teams are becoming more intertwined with the business of gambling. The Bills were not the only NFL team with a casino partner. Oneida Casino has partnered with the Green Bay Packers as well.

This is all thanks to the NFL Committee allowing casinos with sportsbooks to sponsor NFL teams last year. As mentioned, Seneca Casinos currently do not have sportsbooks. This rule does not allow casinos to specifically advertise their sportsbooks with their partnered teams. But that could change. NFL teams partnering with these casinos could lead the NFL to loosening their rules even more. It is possible that NFL teams could be soon getting direct sponsorships from sportsbooks in the future.
