GREEN BAY, Wis. – The NFL MVP race is down to two names, and some are already calling the award a lock in one’s favor.
Is Aaron Rodgers The MVP?
According to the legal online sports betting sites, Aaron Rodgers is the heavy favorite to win MVP honors for the second season in a row. There’s only one man with odds even relatively close to Rodgers’ and it’s Tom Brady.
2022 NFL MVP Odds
- Aaron Rodgers -400
- Tom Brady +400
- Cooper Kupp +2000
- Joe Burrow +2500
The one thing that Rodgers has going for him is that his team, the Green Bay Packers, got the No. 1 seed in the NFC above Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
However, that seems to be it.
The Bucs even have the same record as Green Bay, so that’s not even too big of an accomplishment for Rodgers.
Brady has had the more impressive season from a statistical standpoint, leading the NFL in both passing yards and passing touchdowns while Rodgers was 10th in yards and fourth in touchdowns. Brady played one more game than Rodgers but threw for 1,200 more yards and six more touchdowns.

Rodgers did have a slightly better completion percentage than Brady, but where he really excelled was preventing turnovers. He threw just four interceptions which were the fewest among all starting quarterbacks.
Those betting on the NFL should likely take a shot on Brady at +400 as even if he doesn’t win, he’s probably the more deserving candidate.
