Even though US sports bettors have come to recognize brand names such as William Hill, Caesars Entertainment, and Bet365, a new player is slowly and quietly establishing a major presence in the legal sports gambling industry. That player is Kambi.
Kambi is a sportsbook supplier based in Europe that has jumped on the opportunity to serve operators in the United States that offer legal sports betting.
They currently have a hold on five retail sportsbooks between NJ and Pennsylvania. They have also partnered with major gambling companies such as DraftKings Sportsbook and Rush Street Gaming.
Currently, their DraftKings Sportsbook in N.J. is the top performing online sports wagering platform in the state. Their retail sportsbook at Parx Casino also had a 20% keep on their handle last month, which was the largest return of all the sports betting venues in PA.
Max Bichsel, Kambi US Director, sees the early success in these markets as a chance to expand even further into the country. “We want to be in every state. We want to work with the top operators in each market,” he said.
Kambi’s partner, Rush Street Gaming, already provides an opportunity to possibly operate in New York and Illinois in the near future.
There eight states that now offer a legal way to gamble on sports, and over a dozen that are considering legislation to do the same. Based on their early success, the future looks bright for the company and for sports bettors across the country.
