Sportsbooks Set New York Mets Sale Price At $2.15 Billion

NEW YORK – The New York Mets are currently being shopped around and several big names have popped up showing interest in buying the team.

Leading the charge is power couple Jenifer Lopez and Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez.

Philadelphia 76ers owners David Blitzer and Josh Harris have also shown interest in the team.

No bids have been official as of yet, as current owner Fred Wilpon has announced he will be taking offers in July. However, Wilpon is expected to sell the team before October 1, in an attempt to avoid rolling into 2021 with the team.

Who Will Buy The Mets?

MLB bettors have begun taking action on how much the Mets will sell for.

Despite the growing interest in the team, sports bettors are not expecting the team to sell for more than a couple billion.

Although no definite sales pitch has been made yet, the Wilpon’s are working hard to sell the team by the end of the year.

The New York Mets have managed to garner a lot of interest from some big names.

Former Yankees star Alex Rodriguez and his girlfriend pop sensation Jenifer Lopez are just some big-name bidders. The power couple has also added a third party to help secure the Mets; BodyArmor and Vitamin Water founder Mike Repole.

Repole is a billionaire from Queens New York who has had an interest in buying the team for years.

Josh Harris and David Blitzer, co-owners of the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils have also displayed a heavy interest in buying the team.

Sports bettors at legal betting sites are also taking action on who will win the bidding.

As some of the earliest names to show interest in the team, A-Rod and J-Lo have the shortest odds to win any bidding.

Regardless of who wins the bidding, the Wilpon’s goal to sell the team before the year ends looks promising with all the interest.
