NEW YORK – With NFL betting returning in less than two months, it’s best to know which teams were the most successful against the spread in the 2022-2023 NFL season. That title goes to the New York Giants, who covered the spread at a 73.7% rate despite a 9-7 record straight up.

New York Giants (14-5 ATS, 9-7 SU)

After an abysmal 6-11 record against the spread in 2021-2022, the New York Giants posted the best record against the spread in the NFL last season. New York covered the spread in six of their last seven regular-season games, which included covers as underdogs to the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and Minnesota Vikings.

Detroit Lions (12-5 ATS, 9-8 SU)

The Detroit Lions started the 2022-2023 NFL season with a 3-4 record against the spread. They went on to cover nine of their last 10 legal sports betting spreads to finish only behind the Giants in cover percentage.

San Francisco 49ers (13-7 ATS, 15-5 SU)
