- theScore Bet will now have a plethora of PGA Tour wagers and information through their sports betting platforms as they’ve become the fifth official operator for the PGA.
- The PGA Tour continues to add sportsbook operators to their list of partners to create a larger fanbase for golf nationwide.
TORONTO – On Wednesday, the Score Media and Gaming Inc ( theScore ) officially became the fifth sportsbook for the PGA Tour.
TheScore Bet will be covering odds for PGA Tour events happening in the United States and Canada for eager golf fans to wager on the sport in regulated states where the platform is open to gamblers.
Through this partnership, theScore could be Canada’s first official sportsbook should current legislation pass in the country as it is expected to do and the operator receives the proper licenses after the fact.
“The PGA TOUR has been an innovative, industry leader in sports betting and we’re excited to collaborate to enhance our integrated media and betting experience,” said Aubrey Levy, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Content, theScore.
“The PGA TOUR is a proponent of leveraging media to create unique betting experiences and shares our view for the sizable potential of a regulated Canadian market. We’re proud to partner with the TOUR as an Official Betting Operator immediately across the U.S., and in Canada as soon as legislation allows.”
Both the PGA Tour and the sports betting platform will integrate branding and information from one another as part of the terms of their partnership.
The Deal Between The PGA Tour & TheScore Bet
SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio and all other platforms for the sport will be advertising the odds of the events and current golf news from theScore Bet to be used live during broadcasts. In return, theScore Bet will be able to use various media and other content for their golf section of the sportsbook in both retail and mobile sportsbook platforms.
This will help broaden the amount of coverage theScore will have on the sport for sports bettors of the outlet that enjoy golf.
TheScore will be able to give members both new and old a huge selection for live in-game wagers and bets prior to PGA Tour events. A variety of betting types will be included for golf fans to take part in.
Essentially, this partnership is meant to expand the businesses and fanbases of both the sportsbook and the PGA Tour, which it should be able to accomplish. As excited as theScore Bet is to now have a bigger hold on the professional golf market, the PGA is just as elated to have their fifth sportsbook operator in theScore with regulated sports betting steadily opening up in states across the U.S. since 2018.
“The PGA TOUR is focused on engaging sports fans and Score Media and Gaming is one of the global leaders in delivering highly personalized scores, news, statistics and sports betting information,” said Scott Warfield, Vice President of Gaming at the PGA TOUR. “Leveraging theScore’s vast reach via this relationship will allow the TOUR to engage fans in unique and creative ways.”
