HOBOKEN, N.J. – The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has conditionally approved the global sportsbook operator Tipico to bring its mobile sports betting platform to the Garden State.
The launch of the platform will mark Tipico’s debut in the US sport betting market by offering New Jersey sports fans a secure and easy app to place bets on a wide range of sports, teams and athletes.
The company has stated that the new online sportsbook coming to the state is made specifically for what is referred to as “serious U.S. bettors” along with establishing its US operations and headquarters in Hoboken, NJ.
“At Tipico, we knew that New Jersey would be the perfect state for us to kick-start our business in the US because of its sophisticated mobile sports betting audience and mature regulatory and licensing environment,” said Adrian Vella, Managing Director of US Business for Tipico. “With an incredible pool of local talent in the New York metro area, we’re thrilled to establish our headquarters in Hoboken and continue expanding our team. We’ve dedicated significant time and energy to build a long-term foundation for the US market, and today marks an important milestone in that journey for Tipico.”
When building this app, Tipico was inspired by its decades of experience as a leader in the international legal sports betting and iGaming market.
Available 24/7 on the Tipico app will be betting on live sports markets around the world with odds that are managed by the firm’s in-house trading team.
“We are very excited to be expanding our mobile sportsbook offering to a new international market,” said Joachim Baca, Group CEO of Tipico. “At Tipico, we are truly passionate about enhancing the thrill of sport, bringing fans even closer to the game they love. Regulatory approval from the state of New Jersey is another significant step toward introducing US consumers to our unique sports betting platform.”
Tipico also partnered with the sports betting service provider Sportradar earlier this month to enhance its mobile betting app. Sportradar will be providing the sportsbook with official league data to give the app more accurate information.
Those in the New Jersey sports betting market can sign up to the company’s email list so that will be notified once the sportsbook officially launches.
