Still, these games have been much closer than that stat might suggest, as the Panthers have scored under 18 points against the Bucs in four games (of six) since 2016.

These two teams had held their success and failures as of late, but the 2000s saw great success between these programs. With five division titles in seven years (2002-2008) between both organizations, they will look to get back to their winning ways tonight.

The Bucs did get the best of Panthers in their last meeting, winning 24-17, but in Charlotte, Carolina is 12-7 all-time. Still, on Thursday night games, the Panthers are 3-7 all-time.

But with the Bucs being 0-5 against the spread over their last few TNF games and with Jameis Winston being 6-17 in his previous 23 starts, many analysts are hopping on the Panthers’ bandwagon for tonight.

Carolina (-7) is favored by a touchdown, but the moneyline on the Bucs (+260) and Panthers (-320) might be the easier wager due to the close contests in the past.

Those who are looking to bet on the Panthers in Carolina are still unable to do so at a local establishment, despite the state legalizing sports betting a few weeks back.

Sports betting in North Carolina will be available at the pair of tribal casinos near the western border of the state – Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel.

Neither of these state-licensed sportsbooks will allow for mobile betting in the upcoming weeks, so residents and visitors of North Carolina will have to be physically located at the casino to place a wager or use a legal sports betting site located offshore.

According to an NFL sports betting data email provided by FanDuel Sportsbook, 97.6% of the betting handle was on the over for Carolina to exceed 7.5 wins on the year. With eight more still to go, bettors will be hoping for at least one win to be associated with the Panthers after tonight’s game.
