TNF Passing Props Favor Hurts Over for Total Yards

• Jalen Hurts has a 2022 passing average of 257 passing yards per game and has -115 odds to throw over 233.5 against the Houston Texans on Thursday Night.
• Davis Mills has averaged 214 YPG in 2022 and has -145 odds to throw under 220.5 against an Eagles’ defense that has not allowed over 200 passing yards in their last two games.

HOUSTON – The Houston Texans are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles for Thursday Night Football and Jalen Hurts has -115 odds to throw over 233.5 yards, while Davis Mills is favored at -145 to throw under 220. As 14-point favorites on the road, Hurts is expected to continue his dominance and hit the over for his props.

During the 2022 season, Hurts has averaged 257 passing yards and 1.1 passing TDs per game. With six rushing TDs on this season, there is always more risk in Hurt’s passing TD props because of his tendency to run it in instead.

The Texan’s defense has also only prevented two of their five opponents to have less than 235.5 passing yards. The only two QBs to hit the under were Russell Wilson and Malik Willis.

With the Texans’ defense only allowing five total passing TDs on the season and only one in their three games, legal NFL betting sites have more value for Jalen Hurts total passing yards versus TD props.

With an Eagles’ defense that is tied for the second most interceptions at 10 total through seven games, legal sportsbooks heavily favor the under for all of Mills props for the Thursday Night football showdown.

While Mills has averaged 214 yards per game this season the Eagles’ defense has been known to shut down QBs during the 2022 regular season this far. The Eagles’ defense  has allowed 1,448 total passing yards over the seven games, averaging 207 yards per game.

However, they have played their best against young/inexperienced QBs, keeping Kenny Pickett and Cooper Rush under 200 passing yards in their last two games played.

Mills has averaged 1.1 TDs per game during the year, but found some rhythm in week seven with two TDs against the Colts. The under is still the best bet for this prop as well because Trevor Lawrence is the only player in 2022 that the Eagles’ defense has allowed to throw over 1.5 TDs.
