- The top-ranked team in the nation, the Georgia Bulldogs, are whopping 39-point favorites for their SEC clash against the Missouri Tigers this week.
- The Alabama Crimson Tide are huge 28.5-point favorites over the LSU Tigers as they look to notch their 10th win in the last 11 matchups between the two teams.
ATHENS, Ga. – The AP Top 25 Poll for Week 10 has been released, and the top three (Georgia Bulldogs, Cincinnati Bearcats, Alabama Crimson Tide) remained unchanged; this may be a common theme, as the top three teams in the AP Poll are favored by a combined total of a whopping 90 points for their matchups this week.
(#1) Georgia Bulldogs Vs. Missouri Tigers Odds
- Georgia Bulldogs -39 (-110)
- Missouri Tigers +39 (-110)
The nation’s top team, the Georgia Bulldogs, are 39-point home favorites over the Missouri Tigers on legal sportsbooks. That is a huge number, but Missouri has failed to cover a single spread in their last 10 games.
On the other hand, the Bulldogs have been nearly as good against the spread as they have been outright, holding a 6-2 record against the spread compared to their perfect 8-0 outright record.
Georgia has only defeated two teams by a 39 point margin or more in 2021 – the Vanderbilt Commodores and the UAB Blazers. While Georgia has unquestionably been the best and most dominant force in the NCAA, 39 points is a lot of points for any matchup.
(#2) Cincinnati Bearcats Vs. Tulsa Golden Hurricane Odds
- Cincinnati Bearcats -22.5 (-110)
- Tulsa Golden Hurricane +22.5 (-110)
The second team is the College football rankings (according to the AP Poll, at least), the Cincinnati Bearcats, are 22.5-point home favorites over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
Cincinnati has been incredible at home in recent history, winning each of their last 20 home games outright. The Bearcats have also been solid against the spread, covering in 10 of their last 15 games.
On the other hand, Tulsa has struggled against the spread recently, covering in just one of their last five games. They have also struggled mightily against Cincinnati, losing five of the last six meetings between the two teams.
The one saving grace for Tulsa may be their ability to cover spreads on the road – they are 12-1 against the spread in their last 13 road games. While Cincinnati should be able to cover against the inferior Tulsa, the Golden Hurricane may manage to keep it close enough to cover with their road game prowess against the spread.
(#3) Alabama Crimson Tide Vs. LSU Tigers Odds
- Alabama Crimson Tide -28.5 (-115)
- LSU Tigers +28.5 (-105)
The third-ranked team in the AP Poll, the Alabama Crimson Tide, are huge 28.5-point home favorites over the LSU Tigers.
Alabama has been very good against the spread in 2021, covering in 4 of their last 5 games, while LSU has struggled in that regard, covering in just 3 of their 2021 games.
Alabama has also absolutely dominated LSU in recent history, defeating them in 9 of their last 10 meetings and covering the spread in 4 of their last 6 meetings; moreover, Alabama has been one of the nation’s top teams when playing at home, winning each of their last 20 games at Bryant-Denny Stadium outright.
LSU was just handed a 31-17 loss by Ole’ Miss, a team that Alabama beat 42-21. Expect Alabama to completely control this game, likely covering the large 28.5-point spread and improving to a 6-3 record against the spread.
