- Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have come to terms with a two-fight deal.
- Tyson Fury is favored to be victorious over Joshua with -200 odds.
- The two fights are expected to happen in 2021.
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Boxing fans and bettors around the world should get ready for another powerhouse fight as British phenoms Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have agreed to a two-fight deal.
The first of the two fights is not expected until 2021 but a potential Saudi Arabia or other Arabian Peninsula location is expected.
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn came out on Wednesday announcing the fight in an interview.
“It’s fair to say [Joshua and Fury] are in agreement regarding the financial terms of the fight—We’ve been talking to [Fury’s management team] MTK, giving them the assurances from Joshua’s side that all the details on the structure of the deal is approved from our side. And it is from Fury’s side, as well. We’re in a good place. It’s fair to say that, in principle, both guys have agreed to that fight. Two fights,” said Hearn.
Both Fury and Joshua are proven champions as Fury currently holds the WBC and Lineal Heavyweight Championship and Joshua holds the WBO, WBA, and IBF Heavyweight championships.
Leading up to their 2021 fight, they each have a tough road ahead of them as Fury is going to face off for the third time against Deontay Wilder and Joshua is going to go up against Kubrat Pulev.
If both Fury and Joshua win those fights, it would blow the hype surrounding this fight to unimaginable heights as there would be a Unified Heavyweight Champion for the first time in 22 years since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999.
Fury Vs. Joshua Betting Odds
Legal sports betting sites have already weighed in on the odds for the first Fury and Joshua fight.
Tyson Fury is currently favored to win the first meeting.
Tyson Fury Vs. Anthony Joshua Betting Odds
- Tyson Fury -200
- Anthony Joshua +150
Fury is the boxing favorite for a reason as he is currently undefeated still with a 30-0-1 record.
His draw came in his first fight against Deontay Wilder back in 2018.
Since then, it has been powerhouse win after powerhouse win as he has defeated Tom Schwarz, Otto Wallin, and Deontay Wilder – all who had zero losses at the times that they stepped in the ring with Fury.
Not to downplay the skill that Anthony Joshua has when in the ring, but Fury just simply overpowers him from a physical standpoint.
Fury is weighing around 254 pounds right now and standing at 6’9 while Joshua is at 237 pounds and is 6’6. This backs up Fury’s odds even more.
Joshua’s +150 boxing odds are certainly fair. They are short enough for bettors to be able to take the risk and bet on him and he has the wins to prove it.
With a 23-1-0 record right, his first loss came against Andy Ruiz Jr. in June of 2019.
Also, in his previous 10 fights, he has beaten four opponents who went in with undefeated records. That alone can easily give him a “Grim Reaper” effect as he tries to add an undefeated Tyson Fury to his list.
Right now bettors could play it safe and take Fury here. But as the fight approaches and with the results of their upcoming fights unknown, expect these boxing odds for Fury and Tyson to be heavily on the move.
