OMAHA, Neb. – The regionals and super regionals are officially over which brings the College World Series to its official start.

The double-elimination tournament starts on Saturday and sees the Vanderbilt Commodores as the odds-on favorite with the Texas Longhorns and the Tennessee Volunteers hot on their tail.

The Vanderbilt Commodores find themselves as the betting favorites to win the College World Series, largely on the back of their pitching staff.

Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker, starting pitchers for Vanderbilt, are both top MLB draft prospects and are actually the two highest-ranked pitchers in the country.

Vanderbilt as a team has the lowest WHIP in the country and hits allowed per nine innings.

Vandy is -135 on the moneyline against Arizona in their opening game of the CWS.

Texas and Tennessee As The Top Threats

The Texas Longhorns and Tennessee Volunteers are listed as the next most likely winners on legal sports betting sites. The Longhorns are outscoring opponents 45-12 over their five regional and super regionals games while the Vols are outscoring opponents 40-20.

Both teams are -135 betting favorites against their respective opponents in the opening round.
