Vegas Golden Knights Become First Team To Partner With Betting Tout

LAS VEGAS – The Vegas Golden Knights have entered a new partnership deal becoming the first professional sports team in the United States to partner with a sports betting tout. UpickTrade.com, a Guadalajara-based sports betting pick company has signed a deal with the NHL team that spans through at least the next few years.

While many professional teams in the nation have partnered with sportsbook operators, none have gone into business with a company that promotes choices for gambling on sporting events to their customers.

It’s A Vegas Thing

There has been quite the uproar in public comments once news broke of the new business partners as many people are scratching their heads at the idea. But, as with anything gambling related, isn’t Nevada and more specifically Las Vegas historically known to want to be the first to take the leap into something new?

Even if there doesn’t seem to be a very logical and upfront reason behind it for all to see, it’s possible that the Vegas Golden Knights see potential in something not yet known to those in the industry that will make this a profitable endeavor for them.

“We are thrilled to partner with UpickTrade.com and become the first professional sports franchise to partner with a sports recommendation service,” said Mike Mungiello, Golden Knights VP of Global Partnerships . “We are hopeful our fanbase will make UpickTrade.com a part of their sports pick betting process.”

Having its headquarters in Mexico, UpickTrade.com is a pretty small business with a little over 6,000 subscribers for their services at the time the deal was made.

The company launched in December 2017 and gives users the best picks for gambling on any number of sports, including NHL betting for Golden Knights games and all others in the sport. Members must pay a monthly fee of $89 for the service for each professional league they’re interested in receiving picks on.

What’s Next?

With this partnership, UpickTrade.com will see branding by the Golden Knights through multiple platforms as well as in the arena and they will also have an in-game feature of sorts that has not yet been disclosed to the public. UpickTrade.com advertises that they help their customers to make a living off of sports betting.

It’s likely the Golden Knights have entered into a partnership with the company to encourage more people to wager on their games and allow them to profit through the business they will bring to the sports gaming tout platform.

And UpickTrade.com could not be more thrilled with their new partner.
