Washington Residents Now Have A New Sportsbook In Spokane

• The Turf Club Sports Book just opened its doors to the public in the Northern Quest Casino.
• A mobile phone app is currently in development but will be geo-fenced to casino grounds.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Construction just finished on the Turf Club Sports Book at the Northern Quest Casino, it will be the first location to offer sports betting to Spokane residents.

Washington’s Newest Sportsbook

The new Turf Club Sports Book opened its doors to all Washington residents on Saturday.

“We opened up for a VIP event Friday night and to the public Saturday morning, and so far, the response has been great,” said Kevin Zenishek, Executive Director of Casino Operations for Northern Quest.

This is huge news for residents and marks the third Washington State sportsbook available after several years of trying to get the hobby legalized.

Mobile Betting On The Way

The sportsbook has been long anticipated from frequent patrons of the Northern Quest Casino, reportedly asking about its opening date nearly every day so they could begin legal sports betting.

“A lot of people were really excited to see this open. We got stopped almost daily. ‘When’s it going to open? When’s it going to open?’ We’re finally up and running. A lot of happy folks out here,” said Zenishek.

While there is not currently a mobile app available for the Turf Club Sports Book, Zenishek claims that they’re hard at work developing an app for patrons to place wagers on their phones. Albeit they will have to be located on Northern Quest property to do so.
