Wednesday MLB Public Betting Splits

The New York Yankees are seeing heavy action on their spread.
The San Diego Padres have -147 odds to close out against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

NEW YORK – The MLB postseason is in full effect with four games being played on Wednesday throughout the day and two of them being closeout games and the other two being tied at 1-1.

In the early slate, the public is indecisive on the moneyline with 57% of bets going towards the Detroit Tigers while 63% of the betting handle is leaning towards the Cleveland Guardians.

The MLB betting odds on the spread tell a different story with 69% of bets and 83% of the handle in favor of Cleveland -1.5.

Bettors are expecting a high scoring game with the 7-run total seeing 59% of bets and 60% of funds in favor of the over.

New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies (Mets Lead 2-1)

In this potential closeout game, we are seeing another indecisive swing with the New York Mets seeing most of the action on the moneyline at 52% of bets and 80% of the money.

The spread betting is swinging in the opposite direction at 62% (bets) and 65% (handle) in favor of the Philadelphia Phillies.

The over remains the trend with the game total of 7.5 seeing 87% of bets placed and 78% of money coming in.

New York is standing strong with Yankees seeing 77% of money and 67% of all bets placed coming on their moneyline odds.

The same thing goes for their odds on the spread, but this time at 82% of the betting handle and 73% of bets placed.

There is an 8-run total set for this matchup and again, the over is the play for the public at 76% and 78% coming here again.

San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Padres Lead 2-1)

Moneyline: Padres (-148) vs. Dodgers (+124)
Spread: Padres -1.5 (+145)
Total: 7.5

There is split betting between the Dodgers and Padres moneylines. San Diego is seeing just over 70% of all bets being places while the Dodgers are raking in 52% of the betting handle.

It’s a similar situation with the spread and in the same direction. 55% of bets are on the Padres to cover -1.5 while 63% of the money is on Dodgers +1.5.

The run total public splits are no different either as the 8-run total is looking at 83% of bets on both the handle and bets placed.
