Week 15 MNF Game Lines, Trends, Betting Splits

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Capping off a wild Week 15 of the NFL season is a Monday Night Football matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams where the Packers are a 7.5-point favorite. Although the Rams are coming off of an impressive comeback win in Week 14, oddsmakers aren’t expecting their momentum to continue much further.

• Spread: Packers -7.5
• Total: 39 Points

With where the odds sit right now, legal sports betting sites are taking in heft action on the Packers across the board. On the spread, the Packers are taking just 51% of total bets, however, sharps are pouring money in at 80% of the betting handle. Green Bay is also dominating the moneyline with 75% of bets and 67% of the handle.

On the point total, the over is seeing 65% of bets and 68% of the handle.

Something to be kept alert about though is that reverse line movement is in full effect for this one. Even with the Packers taking all the action their opening spread shifted from 9 down to 7.5 while their moneyline saw a shift from -425 to -360. This could be an effort by NFL sportsbooks  to get bettors to continue laying action on the Packers.

Trends to Keep in Mind

Even with the reverse line movement, trends are still strongly in favor of Green Bay. Looking back since 2012, the Rams were away underdogs nine times and went 3-6 ATS and 1-8 S/U. The over for the Rams in that time has also gone 5-3.

The over has also been a nice trend to follow for both teams lately with the Packers going over in their last four games and the Rams going over in three of their last five.

Looking at the last seven meetings between the Packers and Rams, Green Bay has dominated those as well going 7-0 ATS. The Packers are also on a nine-game win streak over the Rams dating back to 1996.
