BALTIMORE – An AFC North matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals is slated for Sunday Night Football in Week 5 where the Ravens are going in as 3.5-point favorites.
While there might be value on the game lines, there is also some tremendous value offered by online betting sites such as Bovada for the player props in this one. Two players to keep an eye on with tremendous value are both Mark Andrews and Ja’Marr Chase.
Mark Andrews Receiving Props
Total Receiving Yards – Mark Andrews
- Over 65.5 -130
- Under 65.5 -130
Andrews is being set up nicely to hit the over in this one given both his recent performances and the overall matchup with the Bengals. Cincinnati has let two tight ends go over 65.5 receiving yards this season in Pat Freiermuth with 75 yards in Week 1 and Tyler Conklin with 84 yards in Week 3. Andrews himself has also gone over 65.5 yards twice this season. The Bengals defense as a whole against tight ends has been lacking as they’re allowing opposing tight ends to go for over 61 yards per game this season.
Andrews has also been Lamar Jackson’s favorite target all season thus far as he leads the team in targets with 36 which is 14 more than the teams WR1, Rashod Bateman. Looking at the two games in which Andrews hit the over in, of his 17 total receptions, 7 of them went for 10+ yards and two others went for 10+ yards after the initial catch.
Ja’Marr Chase Receiving Props
Total Receiving Yards – Ja’Marr Chase
- Over 70.5 -115
- Under 70.5 -115
Total Receptions – Ja’Marr Chase
- Over 5.5 -130
- Under 5.5 +100
Similar to Mark Andrews’ situation, Ja’Marr Chase’s is very similar and could have an explosion of a game against the leagues worst secondary. Right off the bat, the Ravens are dead last in the league in receiving yards allowed to wide receivers this season with an average of 242 yards allowed per game this season. Through four weeks, they’ve also let four players go for over 70.5 yards in which three of them went for 150+ yards. Those include Tyreek Hill (190), Jaylen Waddle (171), and Devante Parker (156).
Chase himself has gone over the 70.5 NFL player prop yard mark twice this season with a 129-yard outing in Week 1 and an 81-yard outing in Week 4. His major threat is the long ball with five of his ten receptions in Week 1 going for 10+ yards and he also had a 39-yard reception in Week 4.
As for his reception total, backing up the over as well is that he leads the team in targets and receptions already so in this scenario against an already depleted secondary, it is hard seeing Joe Burrow not look his way even more. Also, if Chase is in line for a 100+ yard outing, all three of the receivers who went for 150+ against this secondary already each had 5+ receptions.
